Previously I did a post on the top 5 Korean bb cream for dry skin but due to popular demand (and because it’s only fair), I will be reviewing and choosing the top 5 Korean bb cream for oily skin. Of course, these are only based on my personal experiences and the experiences of the people I’ve talked to or heard from somewhere, so keep in mind that what you read here is not from any “expert” but from regular people like you! That said, I will try my best to give my true opinion about the products so as to help you decide what’s the best bb cream for you to buy!
So let’s get right into it! If you generally have oily skin, no worries, there is still a bb cream for you! As a matter of fact, most people in Korea or Asia who have oily skin often struggle to keep their skin clear because it tends to get really hot and humid, unlike places in Europe or America. What’s worst is depending on the weather, it can be difficult to keep anything on the face because you’ll just sweat it off. Some really good Korean bb cream brands have created products that are great for oily skin and humid weather. They generally feel lightweight (BB creams are generally lightweight but some products really feel like you’re wearing nothing).
5. Nature Republic – By Flower
Although Nature Republic doesn’t seem to get the same rep as some of the major brands like Missha or Etude House, I put this on the list because it’s a great BB cream for oily skin. I have a friend who was using a Skin79 BB cream and just found it making her skin way too oily. So she switched to Nature Republic’s By Flower and says that it makes her skin look very natural.
4. Skin Food – Red Bean
This BB cream definitely has an unusual name, because I’m not sure if anyone ever puts red bean on their face, but red bean is a staple in Asian culture so I guess they wanted to name it something reminiscent of Asia. Actually, this BB cream smells great despite its name! The reason I picked this BB cream for oily skin is because it is lightweight yet good enough to cover any blemishes you might have on your skin. Plus, it never broke out my skin so I think that’s a huge plus. If you have oily skin, this is a good BB cream to try!
3. Etude House – Precious Mineral Sun
If you’ve read my review on the Etude House Precious Mineral BB cream, you will know that this BB cream performed really well on my oily skin. It lasts throughout the day and doesn’t make my skin breakout at all. It feels really light. I think this is made especially for oily skin or summery humid weather because it has an SPF 50 coverage. That’s a lot for a BB cream that feels lightweight. Overall this is a great bb cream for oily skin which is why I put it on this list.
2. Etude House – Precious Mineral Bright Fit
Another great product from Etude House that I would add in here is the Precious Mineral Bright Fit. If you don’t want the high SPF protection of the Mineral Sun, get this one. This one is also lightweight and good for oily skin. And you know what? I would even recommend it for dry skin because it’s also very moisturizing. They’re truly nailed a product that works with a variety of skin types.
1. Etude House – Precious Mineral Cotton Fit
If you’re not already tired of me adding Etude House to this list, well brace yourself for another one. I feel like Etude House makes BB cream only for oily skin, yet ironically, their products are so moisturizing that they’re also good for dry skin! This Cotton Fit BB cream is one of the best for oily skin because it’s lightweight and gives a matte appearance. Generally if you have oily skin, you would want to go for one that is on the matte side or your face will look like it can fry an egg. The Cotton Fit far exceeded my expectations so it deserves the #1 spot on this list.
P.S. Basically, got oily skin? Get Etude House.
