New Korean BB Creams to Try in 2014

Korean brands occasionally release new BB cream products. So today I’m going to take a look at some that I look forward to trying this year and one that I’ve recently tried. Maybe this post will introduce you to new products that you didn’t know of before and would possibly like to try. So let’s have a look!

Missha – Complexion Coordinating BB Cream

First, Missha recently released a “Complexion Coordinating BB Cream” that comes in two different shades. The first shade is called No.1 Pure Complexion and this shade is comparable to the M Perfect Cover #13 Milky Beige and #21 Light Beige. The other is called the No.2 Flawless Complexion and this is comparable to the M Perfect Cover #21 Light Beige and #23 Natural Beige. So as you can see, the Flawless Complexion is a darker shade.

This is a BB cream with a very high SPF 43/PA+++ sun protection. But both shades have slightly different features. The Pure Complexion is marketed as a skin brightening white cream that makes the skin smooth and luminous. The Flawless Complexion is marketed as a flaw correcting cream. To be honest, I don’t know what real difference there is between the two products because both have exactly the same ingredients. I would just assume that they differ in the shade only. If you’ve tried this product before and have any comments about it, please share with me below!

Mizon – Snail Repair BB cream

Mizon may not be as popular to some of the overseas Asian cosmetics purchasers as Missha or Etude House or SKIN79, but it’s actually a pretty big brand in Korea making all sorts of beauty and makeup products. Although this product wasn’t released this year, it really became popular last year. I think it’s because more and more people are buying into the “snail” bb creams which use snail mucus to rejuvenate and soften skin. Maybe they don’t think it’s so gross anymore!

Mizon’s Snail Repair BB cream comes with SPF 32/PA++ sun protection. The product contains 45% of snail extract and you will definitely notice a different texture than regular bb creams. It helps reduce fine lines and wrinkles and really makes the skin look young again. I do notice that my skin is smoother after using it for a week and other buyers in their 50s have said that they’ve noticed a huge difference in their skin. Some even commented that it helped remove acne and prevent further breakouts, so it’s good for people in their teens and 20s too. Overall the reviews on Amazon are great, so this is definitely worth trying.
